FEDERAL GRANTS

Grant Name: DOD/DOW: Multidisciplinary Research Program of the University Research Initiative
Summary:  The MURI competition seeks to support proposals from U.S. institutions of higher education with degree-granting programs in science and/or engineering. The MURI program specifically supports U.S. university teams investigating complex problem sets at the intersection of multiple scientific disciplines, supporting a wide variety of basic and applied STEM research topics.
Eligibility: There are no eligibility restrictions.
Dates:  Proposals are due by April 9, 2027.
FOUNDATION GRANTS
 
Grant Name: University of Utah: Tanner Humanities Center Visiting Fellowship
Summary:  The Tanner Humanities Center’s mission is to promote humanistic research and education at the University of Utah, in the state, and in the nation. This residential fellowship competition supports projects in a wide variety of humanities and social sciences topics.
Eligibility: The applicant's PhD must be awarded no later than August 1, 2025.
Dates:  Proposals are due by December 1, 2026.
Grant Name: Burroughs Wellcome Fund: Next Gen Pregnancy Initiative
Summary:  The Next Generation Pregnancy Initiative supports research in the following priority areas: biological mechanisms of healthy pregnancy, including the normal physiology and biological underpinnings of health pregnancy; preterm birth; pregnancy loss after 12 weeks of gestation, including recurrent pregnancy loss; and preeclampsia. Grants are $700,000 over four years.
Eligibility: There are no eligibility restrictions.
Dates:  Proposals are due by November 17, 2026.
