The purpose of this Dept. of Energy funding opportunity is to solicit and award research and development grants to educate and train the next generation of engineers and scientists; to support novel, early-stage research at U.S. colleges and universities; to increase research and development opportunities for underrepresented and structurally marginalized communities; and to ensure that students are equipped with cutting-edge, translatable skillsets that allow them to contribute to the U.S. workforce and greater economy over the course of a longstanding and enduring career.
The Office of Naval Research Young Investigator Program seeks proposals addressing research areas (as described in the ONR Science and Technology Department section of ONR's website, which covers a variety of STEM topics.
Eligibility:
Applicants must have received PhD in 2019 or later.
The EFRI program invests in potentially transformative ideas that offer the opportunity for significant shifts in foundational engineering knowledge. EFRI-funded research must have strong potential for long-term impact on strategic technology priorities. The solicitation will support foundational and transformative research to advance the development of computing approaches that harness the principles of wave dynamics.
This program provides the NSF CISE research community with the opportunity to pursue ambitious, foundational research agendas that promise to define the future of computing and information. Investigators are strongly encouraged to come together within or across departments or institutions to identify compelling, transformative research agendas that look ahead by at least a decade and promise disruptive innovations in computer and information science and engineering for the years ahead. Grants are up to $15 million.
The RWJF Health Policy Fellows program offers mid-career professionals the opportunity to participate in the policy process at the federal level and use that leadership experience to improve health, health care, and health policy.
Research Corporation for Science Advancement’s Team Science Accelerator is a two-year pilot program to help faculty adopt team science structures with the goal of amplifying impact, accelerating science, and solving big challenges. The vision is to build a national network of early- and mid-career leaders who are proficient in team science, as some of the biggest questions in science — climate resilience and the transition to sustainable energy, advanced materials and quantum information science, next-generation semiconductors — are too big for any one lab to answer alone.
