Through ESI26, Space Technology Research Grants Program solicits proposals from IHEs for innovative, early-stage space technology research of high priority to NASA. Proposals are sought on specific space technologies that are currently at low Technology Readiness Levels. The solicitation exclusively seeks proposals that are primarily responsive to civil-space needs and use cases and not terrestrial and/or non-civil-space applications.
This program supports groups of two or more scholars increasing humanistic knowledge through the preparation of a manuscript for print publication, the creation of a scholarly digital project, or the planning of an international collaboration. Projects must pursue significant research questions and lead toward an interpretive product. Similar to the recent NEH Fellowships announcement, this year’s competition is limited to projects on American history and culture or Western civilization.
Samsung offers a specific collaboration platform for IHEs: the Global Research Outreach program. The GRO program is an annual call for proposals that invites the world’s leading universities to propose innovative research ideas that will be evaluated for their novelty and alignment with Samsung’s various research fields in STEM.
The Simons Foundation’s Mathematics and Physical Sciences division invites applications for the Simons Fellows in Mathematics program to make sabbatical research leaves more productive by extending them from a single term to a full academic year.
