The Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program initiative has announced a suite of funding opportunities pertaining to Peer Reviewed Medical Research and Melanoma Research. For both programs, a variety of funding tracks are offered, including early-career, pilot grants, and clinical trials.
This program supports partnerships that connect public and private resources to plan and develop local or regional food systems. The RFSP focuses on building and strengthening local or regional food economy viability and resilience. Applicants will work with their partners to catalyze the development of local or regional food systems, and will coordinate efforts within the partnership to set priorities, connect resources and services, and measure progress towards common goals.
This program is designed to advance theory and knowledge about increasing the public value of scientific activity. Science of Science draws from multiple disciplinary and field perspectives to advance theory and research about scientific discovery, communication and impact.

Proposals are due in February and September, annually.
This program aims to support activities that develop, expand, strengthen, or sustain NIST partnership programs and/or support the conduct of research or a recipient's portion of collaborative research in a variety of areas including, but not limited to: Metrology; Standards; Nanotechnology; Artificial Intelligence; Advanced Communications; Advanced Manufacturing; Promotion of U.S. innovation and industrial competitiveness; Measurements in Sciences; Neutron Research; and enhancing coordination of the U.S. Standards System with government and private sector organizations.
CWR seeks collaborative, multisite clinical repurposing trials to address Meniere’s disease, as well as other vertigo- and hearing loss-related diagnoses. CWR is interested in approved generic or proprietary therapies that could be repurposed to create “new” treatments that (1) reduce the symptoms, progression, or incidence of; (2) restore function lost to; or (3) reduce or eliminate severe side effects from current therapies for Meniere’s disease and other vertigo and hearing-loss diagnoses.
The Foundation invites proposals for innovative leukemia research. Grants of up to $50,000 will be awarded to new and established investigators for laboratory, translational, or clinical research related to acute leukemia. Renewal of initial research support may be considered for one or more additional years based on productivity.
The Foundation invites applications for its annual Strategy and Policy Fellows grant competition, which will provide at least three research grants of $60,000 to young scholars and policy thinkers working in the areas of American foreign policy, international relations, international security, military policy, and diplomatic and military history, and to enable the recipients to write a book. Only single-author book projects will be considered.
