The purpose of this NOFO is to announce the availability of funding to demonstrate and enhance the utility of selected Common Fund data sets, including generating hypotheses and catalyzing discoveries. Award recipients are asked to provide feedback on the utility of the Common Fund data resources.
The overall goal of the MetNet is to advance our understanding of metastasis as a whole body, systems-level problem to develop a comprehensive and cohesive picture of the processes involved. Through this program, the NCI invites applications for MetNet Research Projects. These Research Projects should be defined as discrete entities that use systems-level approaches to address gaps and opportunities in metastasis research to integrate into the MetNet and complement ongoing research across the Network.
NIDCD invites applications for early-stage dissemination and implementation (D&I) research projects (e.g., during development and evaluation of the evidence-based innovation, EBI) in the NIDCD mission areas of hearing, balance, taste, smell, voice, speech, and language.
This solicitation invites applications to increase the capacity of eligible institutions to achieve very high research activity status on the Carnegie Classification scale. The proposals must align with the research areas of interest to the DoW (which includes the USW(R&E) and the ARL) and enhance the education of students in areas of STEM that align with the DoW research interests.
Eligibility:
Applicant MSIs must not yet be R1, and aiming to achieve R1 status.
On April 1, 2026, PCORI will announce an RFP to fund patient-centered comparative clinical effectiveness research projects. This preannouncement provides potential applicants additional time to identify collaborators; obtain patient and stakeholder input on potential studies; and develop responsive, high-quality applications. PCORI also announced other programs recently (see here).
This program is interested in activities that build connections between basic and early biomedical scientific approaches and ecological, environmental, geological, geographic, and planetary-scale thinking, as well as with population-focused fields, including epidemiology and public health, demography, economics, and urban planning. Also of interest is work piloting new approaches or interactions aimed at reducing the impact of health-centered activities, such as developing more sustainable systems for healthcare, care delivery, and biomedical research.
