Grant Name: Development of Novel or Improved Infertility Technologies (R61/R33) (NIH)
Summary:  This program aims to support and facilitate multidisciplinary research approaches for the development or improvement of technologies, including drugs, devices, products, or clinical practices designed to improve fertility outcomes in patients dealing with infertility, particularly in the context of Assisted Reproductive Technologies. This NOFO aims to position innovative and validated technologies for future clinical development.

Grant Name: Clinical Trial Readiness for Rare Diseases, Disorders, and Syndromes (R21) (NIH)
Summary:  This program invites researchers to submit applications for support of clinical projects that address critical needs for clinical trial readiness in rare diseases. The initiative seeks applications that are intended to facilitate rare diseases research by enabling efficient and effective movement of candidate therapeutics or diagnostics toward clinical trials and to increase their likelihood of success. This could be through the development and testing of rigorous biomarkers and clinical outcome assessment measures or by defining the presentation and course of a rare disease to enable the design of upcoming clinical trials.

Dates:  Biannual NIH dates through June 2028.
Grant Name: Pilot Projects to Enhance the Human Virome Program (R03) (NIH)
Summary:  This program aims to support small pilot projects that extend the goals of the HVP, including further validating, improving, and complementing existing and newly developed tools from the HVP program by leveraging human specimens collected from the cohorts under the program; samples from animals to promote the refinement, utilization, and translation of these tools to better serve the goals of the HVP program; and other efforts. These pilot projects will encourage collaboration across the HVP and expand the consortium. Pilot projects should not overlap with existing HVP efforts.

Grant Name: Mind and Body Interventions to Restore Whole Person Health via Emotional Well-Being Mechanisms (R61/R33) (NIH)
Summary:  This program aims to support rigorous and well-powered human mechanistic research studies that are supported by strong preliminary data. The studies should examine the effects of mind and body interventions on innovative mechanisms of EWB (as the primary outcome), as well as the associated relationship with the Whole Person Health Index (WPHI, as a secondary outcome).

Grant Name: NSF/CASIS Transport Phenomena Research at the International Space Station to Benefit Life on Earth (NSF)
Summary:  This program solicits research projects in the general fields of fluid dynamics, particulate and multiphase processes, combustion and fire systems, thermal transport processes, nanoscale interactions, manufacturing methods that employ any of those transport phenomena, and resulting metallic materials, metal nanostructures and ceramic materials that can utilize the International Space Station National Lab to conduct research that will benefit life on Earth.

Grant Name: Accelerating Research Translation (NSF)
Summary:  The ART program seeks proposals involving institutional leadership; research translation programs, institutes or centers; technology transfer offices; units responsible for managing research intellectual property; entrepreneurial training teams; and researchers from all scientific, technological and engineering fields in collaboration with one or more other target categories. 
Eligibility: There are no eligibility restrictions.
Dates:  Proposals are due by January 15, 2026.
Grant Name: NSF National Innovation Corps Teams (NSF)
Summary:  The purpose of the NSF National I-Corps Teams program is to provide NSF-funded researchers additional support in the form of entrepreneurial education, mentoring, and funding to accelerate the translation of knowledge derived from foundational research into emerging products, processes, and services that may attract subsequent third-party funding. The outcomes of funded projects are threefold: (1) a decision on a clear path forward based on an assessment of the business model, (2) substantial first-hand evidence for or against product-market fit, with the identification of customer segments and corresponding value propositions, and (3) a narrative of a technology demonstration for potential partners.

Grant Name: CHIPS Research and Development Office BAA (DOC NIST)
Summary:  NIST is soliciting proposals from eligible applicants for research, prototyping, and commercial solutions that advance microelectronics technology in the U.S., to be considered for funding by the CHIPS Research and Development Office.
Eligibility: There are no eligibility restrictions.
Dates:  Rolling through late 2029.
Grant Name: Biological Technologies BAA (DOD DARPA)
Summary:  The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency Biological Technologies Office is soliciting proposals that leverage biological properties and processes to revolutionize our ability to protect the nation’s warfighters. Specifically excluded is research that primarily results in evolutionary improvements to the existing state of practice.

Grant Name: Young Faculty Award 2026 (DOD DARPA)
Summary:  This program aims to identify and engage rising stars in junior research positions in academia and equivalent positions at non-profit research institutions, particularly those without prior DARPA funding, to expose them to DOD needs and DARPA’s mission to create and prevent technological surprise for national security. The YFA program will provide high-impact funding to researchers early in their careers to develop innovative new research that enables transformative DOD capabilities.

Dates:  Executive summaries are due very soon, by October 15, 2025; full proposals are due in January 2026.
Grant Name: Restoring Reliability: Coal Recommissioning and Modernization (DOE)
Summary:  Coal-fired generation assets, long central to U.S. energy security, retain valuable infrastructure make them uniquely positioned to deliver near-term reliability at scale: the recommissioning, retrofitting, and strategically repurposing these assets offers the fastest and most cost-effective path to restoring stability while supporting the nation’s industrial and security priorities. Therefore, DOE is supporting grants to modernize and recommission this infrastructure.

Grant Name: FY2026 Continuation of Solicitation for the Office of Science Financial Assistance Program (DOE)
Summary:  This program seeks applications for support of work in the following program areas: Advanced Scientific Computing Research, Basic Energy Sciences, Biological and Environmental Research, Fusion Energy Sciences, High Energy Physics, Nuclear Physics, and Isotope R&D and Production. This NOFO is the annual open solicitation that covers all research areas in the DOE SC.

Grant Name: Collaborative Research (NEH)
Summary:  This program supports groups of two or more scholars seeking to increase humanistic knowledge through manuscript preparation for collaborative print publications, or the planning of an international collaboration. Projects must pursue significant research questions and lead toward a tangible interpretive product. The work can be rooted in a single field or cross disciplines.

Grant Name: Rising Tide Foundation: Early Career in Supportive Care Program
Summary:  The Foundation has issued a request for proposals for its Early Career in Supportive Care program, which is designed to address the needs of patients and the medical community. According to the foundation, supportive care in cancer, defined by Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer, is the prevention and management of the adverse effects of cancer and its treatment. This includes palliative oncology and the management of physical and psychological symptoms and side effects.

Grant Name: McKnight Foundation: Neurobiology of Brain Disorders Award
Summary:  The Foundation invites applications for its McKnight Neurobiology of Brain Disorders award, which assists scientists working to apply the knowledge achieved through basic research to human brain disorders and demonstrate a commitment to equitable and inclusive lab environments. According to the Foundation, early-life environmental stress is a powerful disposing factor for later neurological and psychiatric disorders.

Grant Name: Robert Wood Johnson Foundation: Health Policy Fellows Program
Summary:  The Health Policy Fellows program provides mid-career professionals with the nation’s most comprehensive learning experience at the intersection of health, science, and policy in Washington, D.C. The Foundation seeks applicants with deep experience and subject matter expertise as health professionals, behavioral and social scientists, and others with an interest in health and its drivers. During their placements, fellows will be full-time, contributing participants in the national policymaking process in congressional or executive branch offices of their choosing.

Grant Name: Pershing Square Sohn Cancer Research Alliance: Cancer Prize
Summary:  This funder is dedicated to accelerating cures for cancer by advancing the pursuit of innovative cancer research and by facilitating collaborations between the science and business communities. PSSCRA aims to direct philanthropic funds to feed critical scientific discoveries, attracting like-minded investors to the cause of fighting cancer and creating a pipeline for early-stage biomedical investments. Annually, it awards the Pershing Square Sohn Cancer Prize, which provides early-career scientists in the United States the freedom to take risks and pursue their boldest research at a stage when traditional funding is lacking. Prize winners each receive $250,000 a year for three years.

Grant Name: Dana Foundation: Rapid Response Neuroscience & Society Bridge Funding Program
Summary:  The foundation invites applications for its Rapid Response Neuroscience & Society Bridge funding program. These $25,000 grants are for activities to address immediate needs following grant cancellations, reductions, or delays, including: retaining and supporting trainees and skilled research staff, completing key data collection, analyzing already collected data, closing projects thoughtfully with community partners, and maintaining interdisciplinary collaborations.

Grant Name: Russell Sage Foundation: Research on the SCOTUS Decision Striking Down Race-Conscious College Admission Policies
Summary:  The initiative is focused on ways to promote educational attainment and economic mobility among racially, ethnically, and economically diverse groups following the court’s ruling, which declared that use of race-conscious admissions policies violates the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment and was, therefore, unconstitutional. The foundation is especially interested in proposals that will advance social science research on the social, political, and economic effects of the Supreme Court decision and the future of race-conscious policies more generally.

Grant Name: Simons Foundation: Collaborations in Mathematics & Physical Sciences
Summary:  A Simons Collaboration in MPS should address a mathematical or theoretical topic of fundamental scientific importance, where a significant, new development creates a novel area for exploration or provides a new direction for progress in an established field. The questions addressed by the collaboration may be concrete or conceptual, but there should be little doubt that answering them would constitute a major scientific milestone. The project should have clearly defined initial activities and goals by which progress and success can be measured. The support from the foundation should be seen as critical for the objectives of the project.

Grant Name: GitLab Foundation: AI for Economic Opportunity Fund
Summary:  The mission of the GitLab Foundation is to improve lifetime earnings through access to opportunities. The foundation invites applications for the AI for Economic Opportunity Fund, a partnership between the foundation and OpenAI that seeks bold projects using AI to expand economic mobility—from unlocking data for impact, to making services more affordable, to helping workers navigate education and job pathways.
