FEDERAL OPPORTUNITIES
Grant Name: Food and Agriculture Service Learning Program (USDA NIFA)
Summary:  The purpose of the Food and Agriculture Service Learning Program is to increase the knowledge of agricultural science and improve the nutritional health of children. The program’s goal is to increase the capacity for food, garden, and nutrition education within host organizations or entities, such as school cafeterias and classrooms, while fostering higher levels of community engagement between farms and school systems by bringing together stakeholders from distinct parts of the food system.
Eligibility: IHEs (among other entities) are eligible to apply.
Dates:  Proposals are due by December 7, 2023.
Grant Name: Preservation Assistance Grants for Smaller Institutions (NEH)
Summary:  This program aims to help small and mid-sized institutions improve their ability to preserve and care for their humanities collections. The program encourages applications from small and mid-sized institutions that have never received an NEH grant.
Eligibility: There are no eligibility restrictions.
Dates:  Proposals are due by January 11, 2024.
