FEDERAL GRANTS
Grant Name: Accelerating the Pace of Drug Abuse Research Using Existing Data (R21) (NIH)
Summary:  This program aims to invite applications proposing innovative analysis of existing social science, behavioral, administrative, and neuroimaging data to study the etiology and epidemiology of substance using behaviors (defined as alcohol, tobacco, prescription, and other substances) and related disorders, prevention of substance use and HIV, and health service utilization.
Eligibility: There are no eligibility restrictions.
Dates:  LOIs are due 30 days before standard NIH dates, through November 2024.
Grant Name: Consortium for Food Allergy Research: Clinical Research Center (U01) (NIH)
Summary:  These funded centers will conduct both network-wide observational studies/clinical trials and center-specific projects with the goals to advance prevention and management strategies and to improve knowledge on the origins and the pathophysiology of IgE-mediated food allergy, Alpha-Gal Syndrome, Food Protein-induced Enterocolitis Syndrome and Eosinophilic Esophagitis.
Eligibility: There are no eligibility restrictions.
Dates:  LOIs are due by May 9, 2023.
Grant Name: Collaborative Program Grant for Multidisciplinary Teams (RM1) (NIH)
Summary:  This program is designed to support highly integrated research teams of three to six researchers to address ambitious and challenging research questions that are within the mission of NIGMS. Project goals should not be achievable with a collection of individual efforts or projects. Collaborative program teams are expected to accomplish goals that require considerable synergy and managed team interactions. Teams are encouraged to consider far-reaching objectives that will produce major advances in their fields.
Eligibility: There are no eligibility restrictions.
Dates:  LOIs are due 30 days before standard NIH dates, through January 2026.
Grant Name: Racial & Ethnic Minority Acceleration Consortium for Health Equity (FDA)
Summary:  This program will give awards for multiple cooperative agreement (U01) recipients that will strengthen and advance minority health and health equity focused research, outreach, and communications as well as support training and mentoring of diverse students, fellows, and/or researchers.
Eligibility: There are no eligibility restrictions.
Dates:  Proposals are due by April 6, 2023.
Grant Name: CDMRP Medical Research (DOD)
Summary:  DOD has announced a wide variety of topic areas through its Congressionally-Directed Medical Research Program, including Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, Breast Cancer, Peer Reviewed Medical Research, Epilepsy, and others to be announced in the coming weeks. There are usually 3-5 tracks per competition, which vary by career level, subject area, and grant amount.
Eligibility: Eligibility requirements vary by track.
Dates:  Pre-application due dates (thus far) range from March 28 to May 9, 2023.
